Motion blocks are used to control a sprite’s movement, direction, and position on the stage.

Motion is one of the 6 categories of default Junior blocks. They are color-coded medium-blue and are used to control a sprite’s position and movement.

PictoBlox Blocks

Moves the sprite a specified number of step forward.
Moves the sprite a specified number of steps backward.
Moves the sprite a specified number of grid squares up.
Moves the sprite a specified number of grid squares down.
Rotate the sprite clockwise a specified amount. Turn with 12 for a full rotation.
Rotate the sprite anti-clockwise a specified amount. Turn with 12 for a full rotation.
Changes the speed of the sprite movement. Speed can be set as slow, normal and fast.
Jumps the sprite up, a specified number of grid squares and then down again.
The sprite will move to a specified position as set on the grid.
This block allows sprite to go to any random position on stage.
