One of the greatest challenges in healthcare is providing adequate care for those suffering from debilitating illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and paralysis. To address this challenge, Zayna, and Aya, two teenage girls from Damascus, Syria, created an innovative robot powered by PictoBlox.
RoboMed uses line-following sensors to help patients effectively manage their medication and move around their houses. The robot is able to scan medicine cartons and then access the corresponding detailed information for enhanced patient care. RoboMed sends an email to doctors with medication intake notifications every time the patient takes it.
The developers used PictoBlox libraries to power RoboMed. According to the two teenagers, they utilized the IFTTT Webhooks and Display Modules – evive & Arduino extensions. The IFTTT Webhooks enabled them to send data to the cloud, while the Display Modules facilitated easy control of the various display modules. Additionally, they employed the Python extension to program the robot.
With RoboMed, experience the future of healthcare at home.
