Grow Smart: Automated Sustainable Plant Care

Introducing Grow Smart The Future of Sustainable Plant Care, an automated solution for plant enthusiasts. It uses various sensors and automation to provide an optimal environment for plants. We incorporate a soil moisture sensor to monitor moisture levels and activate a water pump when necessary. It also adjusts the lighting as per the environment with the light sensor and maintains the humidity with a fan. This project helps users to nurture their plants with a busy lifestyle.

The project implements several PictoBlox extensions/libraries such as Display Modules Evive & Arduino; Lighting Evive, ESP32 & Arduino. Display Modules Evive & Arduino help in controlling the various display modules with ease. The Lighting Evive, ESP32 & Arduino is used to manipulate the colors of an RGB LED strip.

The demo explains the project’s implementation. When the soil moisture sensor detects dry soil, the water pump activates to water the plants. The humidity sensor activates the fan when the air becomes too damp. The light sensor automatically turns on the LED light when it detects no light. To protect the water pump, it stops working if it runs for too long to prevent burning.

This project proves to be an ideal combination of sustainable gardening practice and Technology, which makes it easy for users to care for their plants while taking other responsibilities into account.
