The utmost importance lies in workplace safety, yet inadequate safety equipment causes 38 people to suffer near-fatal accidents daily. To tackle this issue, Mohammad Yunus, a PictoBlox student, developed Smart Security Check (SSC). SSC employs cameras at the entrance and crane height to detect individuals without safety equipment and generates alerts.
Two cameras are installed—one at the entrance and one at the crane height. The program processes these images to identify people without safety shoes and helmets, and then sends the information to the field manager. Mohammad also plans to create a drone to enhance construction site security in the future.
By leveraging cutting-edge technology, Smart Security Check effectively ensures construction site safety and reduces workplace accidents.
