This innovative project addresses the critical issue of train accidents caused by human error at railway crossings.
The project focuses on automating the process of opening and closing railway crossing barriers to ensure safe train passages. A crucial component of the system involves installing a switch in the railway line that detects the weight of an approaching train, preventing false signals and ensuring accurate operation.
As the train approaches the railway crossing, the system automatically closes the barriers. This ensures the train can pass safely without any incidents. Once the train has crossed a certain distance, the barriers open again, allowing traffic to resume.
To control the movement of the barriers, a servo motor is used, and RGB LED lights act as visual signals for approaching vehicles. This combination ensures enhanced safety at railway crossings by automating barrier control, detecting train weight, and providing visual alerts.
The “Automatic Railway Crossing Control System for Safe Train Passages” project not only reduces the likelihood of human error-related accidents but also enhances the efficiency and reliability of railway operations. By leveraging technology and automation, this project aims to make train travel safer and more secure.
