The Smart Tree project addresses the need for efficient tree irrigation through the implementation of a smart irrigation system. By integrating cutting-edge technology, including a moisture sensor, Arduino, water pump, relay, and PictoBlox programming, this community project aims to automate tree watering and optimize resource utilization.
The smart irrigation system designed for the project utilizes PictoBlox’s Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities along with Actuators and Sensors. These components enable seamless connectivity and control over the irrigation system, enhancing its efficiency and effectiveness.
The Smart Tree project relies on a moisture sensor to detect soil moisture. When levels drop, the Arduino triggers the water pump through a relay, ensuring trees receive sufficient water based on their needs. This automated system minimizes water wastage and promotes healthy growth.
