Smart Load Carrier – An Arduino based Mechanical Robot

Aarav has developed a mechanical robot using Arduino technology that can transport heavy loads and follow its user. PictoBlox extensions enable features like human body detection and a QR code scanner for tracking. The Smart Load Carrier is an energy and cost-efficient solution for carrying heavy baggage on flat surfaces, reducing manual lifting risks.

The robot’s functionality relies on Text-to-Speech interpretation, allowing users to issue commands. A hand recognition module ensures the robot stops for five seconds upon receiving a stop command. Additionally, an infrared sensor is integrated to detect any attempted theft of items carried by the robot. The user wears a jacket with a QR code, enabling the robot to track their movements. This happens by continuous scanning and communication with the PictoBlox software. The Arduino board, powered by a rechargeable battery, controls the robot’s movements using a motor driver and two 100 RPM motors.
