This project developed AquaCycle, an efficient solar panel dust-cleaning system utilizing PictoBlox. The project employed AI and hardware to effectively address the problem of dust accumulation on solar panels, which can reduce their efficiency.
The AquaCycle system is programmed to regularly measure the dust rate on solar panels. It triggers an alert when the dust rate reaches 15%. This alert activates a water pump that sprays water onto the panels, effectively cleaning them and improving their performance. The project utilized PictoBlox to code the system, incorporating extensions such as Speech Recognition, Python, and AI blocks.
The AquaCycle system provides an effective method to combat dust accumulation on solar panels and prevent them from becoming inefficient due to dust. It is an easy-to-use system that serves as an asset to any solar panel installation.
